Eligibility requirements for Industrial Ph.D. Programme, Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions
Early Stage Researcher Eligibility
To be eligible for this training program, candidates must, at the date of recruitment by the hiring institution, have not been awarded a doctoral degree.
Candidates must also, at the date of recruitment by the hiring institution, be in the first four years (full-time equivalent research experience) or 48 months of their research careers. Full-Time Equivalent Research Experience is measured from the date the researcher obtained the degree entitling him/her to embark on a doctorate (either in the country in which the degree was obtained or in the country in which the researcher is recruited), even if a doctorate was never started or envisaged. If you have been awarded a Master's Degree in a country that requires such a degree before pursuing a Ph.D., only full-time equivalent research experience acquired between Master's diploma and Sep. 1, 2019 should be less than four years to qualify for this program. Mobility Eligibility
To be eligible for this training program, candidates, must not have resided or carried out their main activity (work, studies, etc.) in the country of the recruiting beneficiary for more than 12 months in the 3 years immediately before September 1, 2019. Compulsory national service, short stays such as holidays, and time spent as part of a procedure for obtaining refugee status under the Geneva Convention are not taken into account. Please note that the country of the recruiting beneficiary is Ireland for ESR 1 and ESR 3 positions; Italy for EST 2 and ESR 4 positions; and Germany for ESR 5 and ESR 6 positions.

Academic Qualifications
Candidates must have obtained a Degree that formally entitles them to embark on a doctorate in the host country by September 1, 2019. Please note that if applying for ESR 5 and ESR 6 positions, this degree must be a Master of Science in biology, chemistry, biochemical chemistry, physics, biomaterial or biomedical engineering.
English language
For candidates who do not speak English as their first language, IELTS or equivalent English language test scores of at least 6.5 is required. Applicants, who do not hold a valid English certificate at the time of the application, must indicate a clear plan with dates of how they seek to obtain the certificate.
