Gabriella Bellavia, PhD

She graduated in 2007 in Biology at the University of Rome "Roma Tre". In 2010 she pursued European Doctorate degree in Molecular and Cellular Biology under the supervision of Prof. Mariottini. Prior achieving her PhD degree she was visiting student at Institute of Molecular Medicine-University of Southern Denmark of Odense in the laboratory led by Prof. J. Zimmer.

Then, from 2011 to 2013, she worked at Istituto Dermopatico dell’Immacolata (IDI-IRCSS) in the laboratory of Vascular Pathology. Her main research interest concerns the study of tissue regeneration with specific application to the field of cardiovascular diseases.

She is currently involved in four European projects funded by the Seven Frame Programs and H2020. Within the framework of the DRIVE projects she is in charge of the preclinical trial on large animal models.
